What we do:

Play Zones

Need to drop off your kids early?  Do your kids get itchy to leave early?  Do you want a time for your kids to hang-out?  Join us during Play Zones.  We have something for everyone.  Drop your kids off as early as 6:45pm.  We have: Art Zone, Game Zone, Sports Zone and soon to come, Quiet Zone and Retro Zone.  We believe that these zones will help kids grow in the different developmental areas of childhood.

Flight Night + Special Events

Our usual program, called Flight Night, consists with a large group segment called Runway Show that includes a varying combination of music and dancing, group games, trivial challenge and Air Show Theatre (puppets).  Every other week, we break off into Hub groups (small groups) for more personal discussions.  On the off week, we do a large-group Connecting Flight activity instead.  We then cap it off with a closing large group segment before breaking off for snacks!  We end off each unit with a JAM night where we tie up everything by relating it to Jesus.

Curriculum + Calendar

Our curriculum is based on Gospel Publishing House's (GPH) HighPoint.  The kids @ HFX travels to specific destination to focuse 10 weeks/unit on a specific (biblical) character trait.  All activities are related to either the trait or the destination.  The kids will be exposed to both the character trait and facts relating the destination for a dual learning opportunity.

Check out the calendar to see what we are doing next.  We generally follow the school calendar system so we break for Friday holidays and week long breaks (Christmas, Spring and Summer break).  We run three units in a year starting in September, January, and April.

Safety and Privacy:

We value highly on the safety and privacy of your child.  The church has adopted the PAOC's Plan to Protect Policy that sets some operational guidelines for the protection of the children and leaders.  HFX follow these guidelines to the best of our ability.  We do criminal record checks on all of our volunteers.  All photo and video of children are used within the HFX and chuch family only.  There is at least one first-aid certified volunteer on-site at all times.  If there are any concerns in both these areas, feel free to contact us!
